Due to school closure caused by CoVID-19 during the 2019-20 school year, high school students who were passing a course as of March 13, 2020 were given a choice for how each final grade would appear on the high school transcript. Students had the option to choose the numeric grade or a PC-19. Numeric grades were factored into the grade point average (GPA), while grades of PC-19 had no impact on GPA. Students who did not specify a choice received a PC-19.
Using the attached form, students have the option to request a change from a numeric grade to PC-19 or PC-19 to a numeric grade for Spring 2020 courses. Completed forms must be returned to the school by Friday, October 30th if any changes are requested. If you are unable to download and print the form, you may pick up a form at the school.
A GPA calculator spreadsheet can be accessed at this link. You may use this tool to determine the impact of choosing a numeric grade versus a PC-19 on your cumulative GPA. The link will require you to create a copy of the spreadsheet. In order for the calculator to work correctly, only enter data into the yellow/blue highlighted cells.
If you have questions, please contact your school counselor.
