Kenansville, NC - Juniors and undecided seniors from across the district recently gathered at a college fair hosted by the Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (CACRAO) to explore their options for higher education. The event provided an invaluable opportunity for students to engage with representatives from a wide range of colleges and universities, all in one place, helping them make informed decisions about the institutions that best align with their educational and career goals.

Throughout the event, students had one-on-one conversations with college representatives, gaining insights into academic programs, campus life, financial aid, and admission requirements. This face-to-face interaction offered a unique chance for students to ask questions, compare schools, and better understand which colleges would be the right fit for them. From large public universities to small private colleges, various institutions were represented, ensuring students could explore a broad spectrum of choices.

Teachers and counselors were on hand to support the students, helping them navigate the various booths and encouraging them to ask questions that would help shape their decisions. Many students left the event with new ideas about their future paths, equipped with the resources and contacts needed to take their next steps confidently.

“College fairs like this are a vital part of helping our students visualize their future and see all the possibilities that await them after graduation.  We are grateful to CACRAO and all the participating colleges for providing this experience for our students, ensuring they have the guidance and information they need to make informed decisions about their next steps,” shared Superintendent Dr. Austin Obasohan.
