Kenansville, North Carolina - November 7, 2024 - Thursday night’s Board of Education meeting was held in the O.P. Johnson Board of Education building. During this meeting, Mr. Bobby Mobly was named Employee of the Quarter for Duplin County Schools.
Board Chairman, Mr. Brent Davis, commended Mr. Mobley for his years of service to Duplin County Schools. In 2013, Mr. Mobley began working with Duplin County Schools as a fuel truck driver and has served as a mechanic and shop foreman, before assuming his current role as Director of Transportation. One of Mr. Mobley’s most important responsibilities is managing safe and efficient transportation for students, as well as developing bus routes, monitoring road conditions, recruiting and retaining bus drivers, staying abreast of vehicle service and repair techniques.
Chairman Davis shared, “Transportation is an essential part of schools that sometimes may get overlooked. However, there is much that goes on behind the scenes and we can not thank Mr. Bobby Mobley enough for his leadership and dedication. On behalf of the Board of Education, it is with great honor tonight, to present Mr. Bobby Mobley with Employee of the Quarter for Duplin County Schools.”
