Kenansville, NC - Duplin County Schools is proud to celebrate Samantha Best, who was recently recognized in the North Carolina Music Educators Association (NCMEA) Teacher Spotlight for her outstanding contributions to music education.

A dedicated and passionate music educator, Mrs. Best serves as the music teacher and band director at James Kenan High School, where she inspires students daily through engaging instruction and a deep love for the performing arts. Her commitment to fostering creativity, building student confidence, and making music accessible to all learners has earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues, students, and families alike.

The NCMEA Teacher Spotlight highlights educators across the state who go above and beyond to enrich students’ lives through music. Mrs. Best’s recognition is a reflection of her exceptional talent, unwavering dedication, and the positive impact she makes both in and out of the classroom.
